It’s a new year, which means there are new titles on Netflix. This ranges from hit movies to tv shows for viewers to watch. For those looking for something to binge on Netflix to pass the time, here are the top 10 newest titles on Netflix.  

10) Cool Hand Luke  

This 1967 movie stars Paul Newman as a Luke Jackson, a prisoner who refuses to submit to the prison system and rebels. This movie is critically acclaimed and will have you rooting for Luke. It is worth a watch for those wanting to see a classic piece of cinema.  

9) Superbad  

If you are searching for a great Seth Rogen comedy, then look no further. Jonah Hill, Michael Cera and Christopher Mintz-Plasse star as three high school kids who try to buy alcohol for a party. Unfortunately, it doesn’t go as planned, sending them down a path of unexpected events. This movie is outrageously hilarious and will leave you in stitches.  

8) Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer  

It isn’t Netflix without another serial killer documentary. This documentary takes aim at the infamous serial killer Richard Ramiriz and his crimes throughout the 1980s. This series will make you want to double-check that your windows and doors are locked.  

7) The Departed  

This 2006 crime thriller, directed by Martin Scorsese, sees Leonardo DiCaprio, an undercover police officer, and Matt Damon, a mole for the Irish mob, playing a game of cat and mouse to expose one another as moles for other organizations. This intense movie will keep you on your toes.  

6) Enter the Dragon  

Watch the greatest martial arts movie of all time. Starring the master himself, Bruce Lee, this movie has intense martial arts action that will keep you entertained and on the edge of your seat. 

5) Eddie Murphy: Raw  

Looking for a good stand up special? Then take a trip back to 1987 with Eddie Murphy. This classic stand-up special will have you laughing until you can’t breathe. Just don’t get distracted by the crazy apparel he’s wearing.  

4) What’s Eating Gilbert Grape?  

Johnny Depp stars as Gilbert, a grocery store clerk who cares for both his mother and his mentally impaired younger brother, portrayed by Leonardo DiCaprio. This movie is both a heartwarming and sad movie, and the performance of Leonardo DiCaprio is phenomenal.  

3) History of Swear Words  

Hosted by Nicholas Cage, this documentary dives deep into the history of the swear words that are commonly used today. It examines the origins, usage and impact of such swear words. An interesting watch and anything with Nicholas Cage are worth watching.  

2) Goodfellas  

This Martin Scorsese movie chronicles portrays the rise and fall of mafia associate, Henry Hill. This movie is amazing with its acting from stars Joe Pesci and Ray Liotta, along with a killer soundtrack. This film gives the audience an inside look at what it is like in the mafia.  

1. Cobra Kai Season 3    

In retrospect, have you ever wondered what happened to everyone after the first movie, but may have forgotten about the sequels that followed? Well, don’t worry, because this series has you covered. This movie takes place 34 years after the events of the first film and centers around Johnny Lawrence, the antagonist from the first film, who reopens the Cobra Kai Dojo. This series is funny, action-packed and has great drama in it. The characters are relatable and are the best Netflix has to offer. Fans will also appreciate easter eggs in the series as well. It shows the characters in a new light and gives more background.
