UPDATED: Latah County races still too early to call

Roughly half of the county’s ballots yet to be counted

News update

Results from the Latah County Election are still trickling in, with 31 of 35 total precincts reporting.

While these results show a strong Republican lead in every race, these results do not include early or absentee votes.

According to Latah County Clerk, Auditor and Recorder Henrianne Westburg, early and absentee votes cast in this election amount to roughly half of the registered voters in the county.

The election department is still counting those early and absentee ballots, which they began doing today. With four precincts left to report results, it’s still too early to call the election.

So far, 7,331 ballots have been counted. There are 17,946 registered voters in Latah County.
