The League of Women Voters of Moscow is hosting a virtual candidate forum today from 7-9 p.m. in the Moscow City Council chambers. The event will be livestreamed on the League’s Facebook page.

There will be no audience participation at the forum due to social distancing requirements established by the city, according to the league.

Participants include District 5 House Seat A candidates Dulce Kersting-Lark (D) and Brandon Mitchell (R) along with House Seat B candidates Caroline Nilsson Troy (R) and Renee Love (D).

The District 5 Senate race has been cancelled because Dan Foreman (R) declined the league’s invitation to participate in the debate, Susan Zenier said.

“As a rule, the League of Women Voters doesn’t hold debates with just one person, so Senator David Nelson will not be speaking,” Zenier said.

The forum will conclude with Latah County Commissioner District 2 candidates Tom Lamar (D) and Gabriel Rench (R).

The candidate forum will be archived on the League of Women Voters of Moscow’s Facebook page for those who can’t make the live stream.

The League of Women Voters of Moscow is a nonpartisan political organization encouraging informed and active participation in government.
