Football has to televisions across the United States today as the National Football League (NFL) returned to action this past week. The NFL opened the season with the defending Super Bowl champion Kansa City Chiefs victorious over theHouston Texans 34-20.

With the return of NFL football, fantasy football fans across the world rejoice as they tap into a new season filled with excitement and competition. Fantasy football has become a staple during the NFL season as many fans of the game will get to experience another season full of surprises.

Fantasy football allows fans the opportunity to select real players to be featured on their team. Fans create an account to play competitively against people around the world or against their friends. Fans select real life players through a draft format and add them to their team.

Once a team is completed, the player will select who will start on their line-up. Every week, teams will play against each other and the winner will be determined by who records the most points. Points are awarded to specific players on a team determined by how well they play in a real life game.

Trades amongst teams are another feature offered in fantasy football that allow teams to trade players amongst each other. Players can also sign players via the waiver option. These players can only be signed if they are not already on another team.

Like in real life, players who suffer injuries will be affected directly onto a person’s fantasy team.

Fans compete like this every year and look towards fantasy football experts to get tips on how to improve their team throughout the year. Many fans will play for money but most play for free too just to have some fun throughout the year.

I am one of those fans playing for money amongst my friends as we all put $50 on the line to play for fun, and the winner will get the most money at the end of the season with second place and third place getting a smaller amount. The excitement of fantasy football is always a thing to look forward to whenever an NFL season is underway.
