Police Logs: Parties, mask violations and armed robbery

Friday, Aug. 28

9:41 a.m. Suspicious person/circumstance: A caller reported a suspicious van driving around the 400 block of N Almon Street. The caller reported two men got out of the vehicle and started walking through trailers in the area.

9:46 a.m. Theft: A caller reported their medications had been stolen on the 600 block of W Palouse River Drive. Officers filed a report.

3:09 p.m. Fraud: Someone reported getting fraudulent phone calls on the 600 block of W Palouse River Drive. Officers responded and no report was filed.

3:12 p.m. Pandemic/Epidemic/Outbreak: A caller reported parties on the 500 block of S Asbury Street. It was reported individuals were not social distancing and parties had been occurring over the past couple days. Officers were advised and no report was filed.

5:09 p.m. Civil calls: An individual reported people behind the counter at Les Schwab were not wearing masks. Officers were advised and no report was filed.

6:29 p.m. Theft: A theft was reported at Tri-State Outfitters. The caller reported the theft occurred at 5:30 p.m. and the suspect was no longer at the scene. Officers responded and a report was filed.

6:35 p.m. Missing Person: A caller reported a man had been missing since Thursday. Officers responded and filed a report.

10:42 p.m. Civil Calls: Someone reported COVID-19-related violations at two different parties on King Road. Officers responded and no report was filed.

11:14 p.m. Civil Calls: A caller reported mask violations on the 200 block of Cherry St. No report was filed.

Saturday, Aug. 29

7:24 a.m. Civil Calls: A caller reported their boyfriend had a group of friends who refuse to isolate. The caller believed they were exposed to COVID-19 and wanted to know what can be done to make them quarantine.

1:39 p.m. Suspicious person/circumstance: Someone reported finding a pillowcase with a bird’s head inside. Officers responded and no report was filed.

3:28 p.m. Civil Calls: A caller reported employees at O’Reilly Auto Parts not wearing masks. Officers responded and no report was filed.

6:48 p.m. Traffic Violation: Someone reported a possible DUI. Officers responded and no report was filed.

6:57 p.m. Robbery: An armed robbery was reported on campus. The suspect was believed to have a gun. Officers responded and a report was filed.

9:41 p.m. Traffic Violation: A caller reported seeing an individual jump out of their vehicle while it was not in park. The vehicle was reported to roll eastbound on the 700 block of Nez Perce Drive. Officers responded but were unable to locate the vehicle. No report was filed.

11:54 p.m. Reckless Endangerment: Officers received a call reporting a party with people throwing glass bottles into the street. Officers responded and no report was filed.

11:56 p.m. Assault: A caller reported a balcony full of people threw bottles at him. Officers responded and no report was filed.

Sunday, Aug. 30:

10:19 a.m. Civil Calls: Officers received a report of eight people inside Sudzees. One person was reported to be coughing. No report was filed.

12:52 p.m. Theft: A caller reported a theft at the Stinker Station on W Pullman Road. The caller reported they have info and video of the suspect.

9:01 p.m. DUI Alcohol or Drugs: Officers and EMS responded to a reported DUI. The suspect was cited and released.
