This week, check your horoscope to what kind of flower you are. I used definitions from the language of flowers for this set of horoscopes.

White heather: These flowers symbolize protection. Cancers, while shy and withdrawn, are fiercely protective of the people they love. These flowers are small, bell-shaped blossoms hidden among the needles of heather plants.

July 23 to Aug. 22 | Riley Helal

Garlic: These flowers symbolize courage and strength. Leos are ambitious and enthusiastic people, so these flowers seem fitting. The six-petaled purple or white garlic flowers form a sphere at the end of the plant’s stem.

Yellow hyacinth: These flowers represent jealousy. Scorpios, while not inherently jealous people, tend to err on the volatile side and will lash out in the wrong situation. Hyacinths form cylinders of small, six-petaled flowers along each stem.

Forsythia: These flowers symbolize anticipation. Sagittarians are curious people, constantly anticipating the future. Forsythia bushes grow yellow four-petaled flowers along the length of each stem.

Cactus: These flowers symbolize endurance. Capricorns think long-term, often focusing on moving towards the future one step at a time. Cactus flowers look different depending on the species, but they are often brightly colored.

Coral-colored rose: These flowers symbolize desire. Aquarians are incredibly dominant people, which can manifest in intense desire gnawing at their heart. Roses grow a multitude of petals in a spiral atop each spine-covered stem.

Feb. 19 to March 20 | Riley Helal

White carnations: These flowers represent innocence and pure love. Pisceans are sensitive, understanding people and often think the best of people. Carnations grow a multitude of petals with gently crimped edges.

March 21 to April 19 | Riley Helal

Camellia: These flowers represent admiration and perfection. Aries are a charismatic bunch, fearlessly diving head-first into challenges others admire you for. The petals on these bushes form gentle spirals with near-perfectly round edges.

April 20 to May 20 | Riley Helal

Cattail: These flowers represent peace and prosperity. Reliability and devotion are Taureans’ strong suits. Cattail flowers bloom purple atop each long stem before turning brown.

May 21 to June 20 | Riley Helal

Tiger lily: These flowers represent wealth and pride. Geminis are quick-witted and often incredibly confident. The speckled orange petals of the tiger lily bend back towards the stem.
