See what the stars say for you today

This week, check your horoscope to see which common pet you’re most similar to.

May 21 to June 20 | Riley Helal

Cat: Geminis are moody, fluctuating between opinions and emotions as quickly as a cat fluctuates between accepting affection and nipping at attention-giving hands. You are intelligent and adaptive, but your rapid emotional responses can put off those not used to typical gemini behavior.

June 21 to July 22 | Riley Helal

Hermit crab: Yes, the symbol for this sign is the crab, but that’s not why I chose this pet. Hermit crabs take parts of their environment, like the most comfortable looking shells, and make them their home. You like to retreat into your metaphorical shell, just like a startled hermit crab.

July 23 to Aug. 22 | Riley Helal

Parrot: Leos are artistic and, as we’ve mentioned in previous horoscopes, like it loud. Parrots serenade their owners with toddler-like tantrums and warbling renditions of songs. Although you don’t throw tantrums, you do parrot your favorite quotes at your friends and sing in the shower.

Aug. 23 to Sept. 22 | Riley Helal

Rabbit: Virgos are delicate, no matter how well you try to mask it or pretend you aren’t. Rabbits, while warm and loving to those they trust, are injured easily and run at the first sign of danger. Your heart may leap as quickly as a rabbit in difficult or scary moments and that is perfectly fine.

Sept. 23 to Oct. 22 | Riley Helal

Ferret: Ferrets, like you, are elegant creatures. Although they have their goofy, playful moments, their social charm is arguably their best quality. Lean into these parts of your personality and let them shine through in your personal search for balance.

Oct. 23 to Nov. 21 | Riley Helal

Snake: Some may be put off by your persona, but like a snake, that persona is exactly what draws others to you. You prioritize defending yourself and your passions with as much volatility as you deem necessary, even when others think you’re overreacting.

Nov. 22 to Dec. 21 | Riley Helal

Dog: Like dogs, Sagittarians are naturally curious and optimistic. You adore exploring and meeting new people. While you may not always be sure of what your goals are, you pursue the stars regardless. Let the positive energy of your favorite pup inspire you to do the same.

Dec. 22 to Jan. 19 | Riley Helal

Betta fish: You’re not the best team player, but that is due more to your ruthless perfectionism and less to your actions in team settings. You hold yourself and those around you to a high standard. When those standards aren’t met, you make your opinions loud and clear. Betta fish are known for their aggression, but don’t take it too far.

Jan. 20 to Feb. 18 | Riley Helal

Turtle: Aquarians have strong personalities and often need to seek alone time, even when they are extroverts. Like turtles, your tough exterior protects your vulnerabilities and helps you tolerate others no matter the circumstances. However, sometimes that hard shell can get in your way.

Feb. 19 to March 20 | Riley Helal

Chicken: Pisceans are adaptable, but they are incredibly affected by their environments. Chickens may come in too many varieties to count, but if not given proper love and stimulating environments, they suffer. Don’t be afraid to adjust your environment to your needs. It’s not a sign of weakness.

March 21 to April 19 | Riley Helal

Pygmy goat: Aries are leaders, rushing head-first into challenges. Pygmy goats bound towards their playmates and human companions with endless excitement. Let that drive carry you forward, but remember to take a break every now and then. Your energy alone can’t power you forever.

April 20 to May 20 | Riley Helal

Guinea pig: Taureans are patient souls. Guinea pigs prefer stable, predictable routines, like yourself. You may be easygoing, but you know your limits. Make sure you don’t let others push you too far. While personal growth is great, sometimes rest is what you need most.
