Due to the limited number of summer issues in The Argonaut’s past, this look back is short and features more articles on our website outside of the University of Idaho Library’s Digital Collection.  

Looking back to see what was going on in past years is a great way to gain insight into what the world used to be like. The University of Idaho Library has a website that includes PDFs of printed issues of The Argonaut. Anyone can look through these at any time.

June 1, 1928

Increasing the maximum capacity of the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre from 650 to 1,000 patrons was a large improvement back in 1928. The Kenworthy has a lengthy history in Moscow and continues to grow in size, events and more.

UI students received their grades on Vandal Web last month. This short article details how students could obtain a copy of their grades other than the one mailed to their parents.

June 7, 2006

“The commute along the Moscow-Pullman Highway may never be the same again.” This article outlined improvements to the Moscow-Pullman Highway and the concerns for commuters being slowed down during construction.

June 6, 2018

The Bruce Pitman Center recently finished repairs to the exterior of the building. This article from two years ago introduced the need for this construction while not giving a clear answer as to when repairs would be finished, as the timeline was unknown at the time.

One year ago, the Idaho Central Credit Union Arena broke ground at UI. This arena is set to finish construction in 2021 and will hold 4,200 people for basketball games and various campus and community events
