Sunday, May 31

6:14 a.m. Citizen Assist: A reporting party stated Venture Church on S Jackson Street was flooded and over a foot of water in the parking lot. Officers responded but no report was filed.

6:30 a.m. Safety Hazard: A report came in of a manhole cover which had been removed or blown off near the Super 8 Motel. Officers advised the road department.

8:03 a.m. Utility Problem: The police department was advised of a manhole cover on the intersection of E and N Van Buren Streets which was up and could cause damage. Officers responded and the manhole cover was closed. No report filed.

9:33 a.m. Safety Hazard: A manhole cover was out of place near East City Park. It was located near the east side of the park’s parking area. Officers responded but no report was filed.

6:36 p.m. Animal Problem/Complaint: A reporting party stated they watched a cougar for half an hour under the tree from behind her home. Officers responded but no report was filed.

8:34 p.m. Animal Problem/Complaint: A reporting party stated there was a skunk stuck in one of their window wells. Officers responded but no report was filed.

10:30 p.m. Noise Complaint: A reporting party said there were multiple people being extremely loud near S Almon Street. The party said, “it is an ongoing issue and happens every night.” Officers responded but found the complaint unfounded. No report filed.

10:36 p.m. Noise Complaint: A reporting party who was woken up by noise stated there was party noise, yelling and screaming. The noise was approximately 10 kids having a camp-out. Officers responded but no report was filed.

Saturday, May 30

11:03 a.m. Warrant Arrest: A female was arrested on a warrant near Badger Court. No report filed.

12:07 p.m. Fraud: A reporting party stated someone was trying to extort money from him on Facebook. Officers contacted but no report was filed.

4:47 p.m. Animal Problem/Complaint: A reporting party stated there was a dog overheating in a car at the Palouse Mall. Described as a friendly dog, who was yelping. The back door of the vehicle was unlocked. Officers responded but no report was filed.

6:46 p.m Other Law Enforcement Calls: A reporting party stated there was a large gathering with a possible band at Chase Bank. The reporting party was concerned the gathering was not following social distancing guidelines. Officers responded but no report was filed.

Friday, May 29

11:46 a.m. Warrant Arrest: A male was arrested on a warrant near Nez Perce Drive and Blake Avenue. A report was taken.

12:46 p.m. Sex Offense: A reporting party stated a sex offense happened at their place of work. The location is unknown, though it is in Moscow. Officers were contacted and a report was taken.
