President C. Scott Green urged all staff members to work from home if they have the means to in an email sent Tuesday. This email was sent out in response to concerns that previous emails regarding COVID-19 lacked focus on staff. In the email he asked all employees to work from home by the end of March 25.

Green recognized some staff members cannot work from home due to their line of work. However, having as many people work from home as possible will help limit the risk of exposure to the coronavirus. Green said he understands that the transition to working from home may be difficult for some but encouraged staff to talk with their supervisors about how to best accommodate this change.

The University is also preparing to implement the Families First Coronavirus Response Act (FFCRA) which gives aid to employees who are unable to work due to COVID-19 related issues.
