Some parking pass holders eligible for prorated refunds

News Update

UI Parking and Transportation Services (PTS) announced a new set of parking regulation policies that will be enforced until the first day of the fall semester, Aug. 24.

Here is a look at some of the updated parking rules:

  • No overnight parking is allowed on any campus streets.
  • Vehicle storage and overnight parking are allowed in Purple and Silver parking lots as well as Economy Lot 57E (the gravel lot in between the ASUI-Kibbie Activity Center and Perimeter Drive).
  • No permit is required for daytime parking in Orange, Red, Blue, Purple and Silver lots.
  • Overnight enforcement of Gold, Orange, Red and Blue parking lots will continue.
  • Gold and Green lots still require permits.
  • Meter and pay station require payment year round, except for Student Recreation Center Parking Lots 107 (east side) and 108 (west side) which will not require payment during summer and academic breaks.

Here is a look at some parking pass refund details:

  • Orange, Purple and Silver parking permit holders with direct deposit will receive prorated credits (credits that are added to a bill after a service is removed) for their 2019-2020 annual parking permits based on this prorated refund schedule by UI PTS.
  • Gold and Green lot parking permits will not be automatically refunded, as these permits are required year-round, but holders of said permits may return them for a prorated refund via direct deposit.
  • Prorated refunds must be set up before April 30 via VandalWeb to be valid.Red and Blue permit holders are no longer eligible for a refund
