Bitterroot Tattoo Company, a place where ink-lovers and first timers alike can get a tattoo from experienced artists.

This Friday anyone can stop in to get a tattoo for a discounted price. These sales are known as flash sales and are held across the country, including multiple shops in Moscow.

At Bitterroot specifically, customers can choose a tattoo from a specific design sheet starting at $50. They are only doing tattoos on limbs for this price, other locations will cost more.

Sales are done this way because the pre-drawn designs allow artists to accommodate more people by working on multiple people in a shorter amount of time.

While the tattoo selection is limited, it doesn’t deter customers from coming in. Co-owner Carla Dagovitz said she enjoys these sales because they attract a lot of customers to the shop.

“It’s a day for people to come out and get fun (and) whimsical designs at a slightly discounted rate that we don’t normally have,” Dagovitz said. “It’s really great for us because we sometimes get to do designs that we don’t normally do. And it’s great for the community because it’s a chance to get a spur of the moment spur of the moment tattoo at a deal.”

The design book for the event features art designs that were drawn by the tattoo artists at Bitterroot. The event is a great way for the artists to show off their artwork.

People wanting to get tattoos this Friday have a chance to get a tattoo from guest artist Damen Tesch, who owns his own tattoo shop in Humboldt County, California. He has tattooed several famous people, including The Enigma, who used to hold the record for being the most tattooed man in the Guinness Book of World Records, and supermodel Nikki Taylor.

Bitterroot isn’t only known for their tattoos, they also occasionally host music events in their parlor featuring local bands. This Thursday at 7 p.m., the bands Okay Okay, Hemlock and Hutch Hartford will be playing at Bitterroot Tattoo for a $5 cover charge.
