Big-ticket items:
SMART Transit bus route
- The Senate passed a resolution to support the establishment of an additional bus route that would run through southeast Moscow. SMART Transit currently operates on two routes: the East Route and the West Route. The route would provide access to White Avenue, the Grove, Palouse Prairie Charter School and North Central Public Health.
- The resolution aims to support students with disabilities and employees at UI as well as those living off-campus.
Vote 4 Her
- ASUI’s annual event Vote 4 Her includes the discussion of women in politics and a moderated panel with guest speakers. The Senate passed a bill allocating $400 for the event.
New ASUI Senator
- Ezmy Perez was sworn into the Senate on Wednesday, filling an empty seat. Perez is focused on feminine hygiene products and mental health.
