Welcome to March, people. 2020 is already a fourth of the way through, doesn’t that sound crazy? Time flies when we are all so busy. To celebrate a new month here are some of the best events in Moscow this week.

  • Place: One World Cafe
  • Price: Free

To anyone invested in music and wants to have great time, One World Cafe has the perfect event. This Tuesday come down to One World Cafe for the Bluegrass Sessions and jam out. This event is reoccurring every first Tuesday of the month. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to participate.

  • Date: Wednesday
  • Place: Tapped – Taphouse and Kitchen
  • Price: Free

Beer and donations, what’s better than that? Come to Tap Takeover on Wednesday to have a great time and support a great cause. This is a chance to enjoy great food and win prizes. For this Tapped Takeover, Mother Earth Brewing Company is taking over. For every beverage purchased a dollar is donated to Palouse Land Trust. Each beer purchased gets an entry into a raffle for a chance to earn PLT, Mother Earth and Tapped merchandise. Support the Palouse while enjoying great drinks.

  • Place: University of Idaho Women’s Center
  • Price: Free

Celebrate International Women’s Day with the Women’s Center. They will be hosting a tea party and gathering for all. The tea party will provide drinks and a comfortable atmosphere. Come grab a cup of tea and stay for chatter this Thursday.

  • Time: 11:30 a.m. – 12:30 p.m.
  • Date: Friday
  • Place: ASUI Vandal Student Lounge
  • Price: Free

Vandal Entertainment presents Oreo Cookie Day for anyone with a sweet tooth. There will be a blind taste test and lots of fun. Dip, taste a cookie and vote for your favorite. Along with cookie dipping, there will be a decorating station to satisfy any sweet craving. Who doesn’t love a sweet snack?

  • Place: Kenworthy Performing Arts Center
  • Price: $10

The 21st century is a weird and special time. We have all came across cute and funny compilations of cats. Whether it be a YouTube rabbit hole or cute animal binge, cat videos all have a place in our hearts. The Kenworthy and the Humane Society of the Palouse are showing a cat video reel of submissions in support of raising money for local cat charities.

One World Cafe has the perfect night for all Taylor Swift Fans. Kelli Barham Voice Studio is performing Taylor Swift favorites this Saturday night. Listen to favorite Swift tracks performed and sing along to pop classics.

  • Date: Saturday
  • Place: 1912 Center
  • Price: $10 – $12

Come dance until the sun comes up this Saturday. Doors open at 9 p.m. but the fun begins at 10 p.m. The event is open to anyone 18 years or older with a separate bar for those 21 and up. Tickets can be bought in advance for $10 or at the door for $12.
