Bachelor Breakdown: Fantasy suite pressure

A recap and commentary of

This week after watching the episode of “The Bachelor” I had to really sit down and digest the information presented to me. What happened wasn’t a complete shock to me, but at the same time, I was shocked at how the situation was handled.

First for some context.

This week was Fantasy Suites. If you’ve watched Hannah Brown’s season of “The Bachelorette” you will remember what Peter became known for. Doing it in a windmill with Brown multiple times.

So going into the fantasy suites this week, I didn’t expect anything less from Peter. Fantasy suites are a chance for the couples to get to know each other on a more intimate or emotional level, depending on the needs of the relationship.

It is a chance for the couples to have time off camera. Usually it ends up strengthening the relationship, but then it’s just a smack in the face when someone gets sent home. Especially if they have been intimate with the Bachelor or Bachelorette.

This season has seemed to be one of the most drama filled ones of all. The producers can’t seem to stop meddling and bringing in unnecessary drama.

They even did something different this week with fantasy suites that I do not agree with at all. It made me feel icky from getting pleasure out of watching “The Bachelor” in the first place.

The three ladies left, Madison, Hannah Ann and Victoria F, were all staying in the same hotel together while these dates were going on. Each day they would watch each other leave to spend the day and night with Peter and then return in the morning to see the others sitting on the couch waiting.

This was a bit much for me. And frankly isn’t morally right to me. Especially if they ended up being intimate with the Bachelor.

Before I didn’t think much about my guilty pleasure of watching “The Bachelor”, but now after seeing it in this way it makes me feel kind of bad. Peter gets down on one knee six days after fantasy suites. This is so fast.

Too fast.

And I didn’t know that was the pace of the timeline, before, but now that I do — I can’t get over how they do things on the show.

Also I can’t wait for this season to be over after this episode. Watching each episode is getting more and more painful to watch.

Madison shared with Peter if he is intimate with the other women on fantasy suite week that he might lose her. Later on in the episode she expressed to him that she was saving herself for marriage.

Too bad she got the last date.

Madison is either Peter’s soulmate or she is too good for him. I can’t tell which yet.

Hannah Ann seemed too perfect after their date this week. She told Peter she was okay with him being intimate with other women, and that he needs to do what he needs in order to choose her in the end. I can’t tell if that’s her being cocky or if she doesn’t love him.

What girlfriend would be okay with their boyfriend spending the night with another woman? I know I wouldn’t.
Then there is Victoria F. *eye roll*

I am so tired of seeing her on my television screen. I do not think she is ready for an engagement or to be with Peter, but for some reason she is still sticking around.

Neither of these overnight dates pleased me. Frankly, I’m not a fan of either one of them.

Madison is different.

I don’t know if it’s the way their relationship is being portrayed on the television or if it’s a gut feeling I have. But I see a fairy tale type love between them.

Every time Peter is around Madison his face lights up (more so than when he’s around the other women) and he genuinely loves her. I can tell by body language and the way they speak to each other.

But on Monday night — it seemed all was lost.

When Madison and Peter had their dinner talk, Peter revealed to Madison that he was intimate with another woman and that he is in love with all three of the women.

Gee shocker. But also that’s cutting a knife through Madison’s heart.

She walked away from Peter in tears. You could tell by the look on Peter’s face that he regretted his decision being intimate with the other women. He realized he might have just lost his future fiancé.

Tears filled my eyes.

We won’t know what Madison’s decision is until next week. Theories have been all over the internet and my brain is going at electric speed thinking about the end.

This season has not been spoiled which is unusual for “The Bachelor” franchise.

I do have an ending theory though. I believe Madison breaks Peter’s heart and then he goes after her. It’s her. It’s always been her.

I sure hope Madison gets her fairy tale ending. She deserves it. But I guess we have to wait to find out what happens.

Until then — see you next week Bachelor nation.
