Bachelor Breakdown: Hometown throw down

A recap and commentary of "The Bachelor" from a true fan

In the words of Hunter Hayes, “I don’t want easy I want crazy.” Seems like Peter wants just that.

This week on “The Bachelor” we viewers got to experience hometowns. Peter got to meet Hannah Ann, Kelsey, Madison and (almost) Victoria F’s family.

Let’s start with Hannah Ann. Hometown throw down? They were throwing axes and having fun. Well, Peter was having fun for the most part until he met her father. Peter seems to be throwing out the “falling in love” phrase to women on this season left and right.

“You need to make sure you feel these words and they’re real before you tell her,” her father said. Peter turned pale, he looked sick to his stomach and told Hannah Ann anyway. This led to her blurt out “I love you” to him as he was getting into the car to leave for the next hometown date.

No wonder her dad gave him that warning, she is like a moth to a fire to him. Now that she knows he likes her, she is going to have all the confidence in the world.

Next up, let’s discuss Kelsey’s hometown. I love Kelsey, let me just say, I’m so glad she made it this far. And she is too good for Peter. I feel like she is everything he is looking for in a wonderful wife and a loving mother. She is always there for Peter, and she seems like she’d do a good job supporting and being there for him. With all that being said, once she said she was in love with him Peter didn’t say a word to her. He just kissed her.

Really?!

So he’s okay with saying “I’m falling in love with you” to all the other girls except for Kelsey? This seems like a red flag to be honest. After that moment I could tell she is more into him then he is in her. I could tell she was getting the boot at the rose ceremony.

Next was Madison’s hometown date, and I cannot stop swooning over these two. They are couple goals. They have a lot of chemistry and fun with each other.

We got to see more of her faith when Peter met her family, and it seems like it’s not really that big of a deal to him. Which is kind of surprising to me. Faith can be a deal breaker in relationships and especially a marriage. I’m not sure they are right together with this as a factor. They seem to be living different lives and the fact that Madison’s family was not supportive of her relationship with Peter was telling. I’m rooting for them so much, but I’m not sure if it’ll work out or not.

Next was Victoria. Oh Victoria. Stop your crying. On their hometown date they danced to Hunter Hayes’ “I want crazy.” That could not be more accurate for Peter. This woman is crazy and Peter wants her. More drama came to light between them during their date and of course the tears came with it.

Peter was told by an ex-girlfriend who happened to be in the same town as them that Victoria ruins relationships. The part that annoyed me to be honest. When he tried to tell her how he felt about it, she attacked him like she always does. Because of this, he didn’t even get to meet her family.

If this rumor wasn’t true, why did she blow up about it? Seems to me there may be some truth to it since she got really upset. But that’s just speculation.

At the rose ceremony Kelsey got sent home. I got to say, out of all the girls on the show I would love to see her as the next Bachelorette. She is so deserving of a man that wants her and will treat her right.

What’s in store for next week? Fantasy suites. Will Madison’s saving herself for marriage ruin her relationship with Peter? Guess we will have to watch to find out.

I must say if my daughter was a contestant on The Bachelor, I would be very alarmed at his bad judgement in continuing to keep Victoria. I wouldn’t want him for my child, because if he can’t see what Victoria’s really like after their last conversation, then he has no common sense. She’s master-manipulator. The fake outrage, the crocodile tears, the redirection, the turning it around on him like he’s the bad guy! Come on already! Most of the time she’s miserable, complaining, annoying, and whining. Great start to a relationship, Peter!
