ASUI Senate met Feb. 12 at the University of Idaho.
Big-ticket items:
- National Student Advertising Competition Team
- In the past, the Journalism and Mass Media (JAMM) department has funded the Advertising Team’s travel. Due to budget cuts, JAMM is unable to cover the costs of the team’s travel to the Regional Conference in Portland, Oregon, this year.
- ASUI Senate allocated the requested $150 to help in fundraising.
- MLK Art and Writing Contest scholarship fund
- ASUI allocated $200 to the contest scholarship fund to divide between category winners.
- Unfilled Senator position
- Next week the Government Operations and Appointments will be appointing a new ASUI Senator to the senate.
