This week’s events are for hopeless romantics and star-crossed lovers. With Valentine’s day landing on a Friday, possibilities are endless when it comes to weekend plans. Here are some mostly free events this week for couples, pals and singles to enjoy.

Drag Bingo: Drag Swap Edition | Courtesy

Drag Bingo: Drag Swap Edition | Monday

  • Time: 6:30 p.m.
  • Date: Monday
  • Place: 1912 Center
  • Price: $5-10

Inland Oasis is hosting drag bingo this Monday night. Bingo can be played at the early bird rounds starting at 7:00 p.m. or all night.

For those who want to play all night, a Night of Fun Package can be purchased for $15 which includes one dauber, one full pack, three early bird rounds and an extra sheet for a round of your choice.

There is a $5 play requirement to attend, this could be a half pack, a few rounds or a whole night. Prices are: $10 for a full pack, $5 for a half pack, $1 for one early bird sheet, a dauber or $0.25 for a rental dauber. Waters and sodas can also be bought for $1.

Poetry Reading with Cameron McGill and Micheal McGriff | Tuesday

  • Place: Book People
  • Price: Free

Join Book People for readings with talented poets Michael McGriff and Cameron McGill. McGriff is an author and has also had his writing appear in the New York Times, Poetry London and The Believer.

McGill, an educator and musician will be releasing his first chapbook, Meridians. Along with the book release and poetry readings, One World Cafe will provide beer and wine during the well-rounded event.

Tap Takeover: Kenworthy Edition | Wednesday

  • Time: 6 p.m. – 8:30 p.m.
  • Date: Wednesday
  • Place: Tapped – Taphouse and Kitchen
  • Price: Free

Tapped – Taphouse and Kitchen is hosting a Tap Takover featuring beer from No-Li Brewhouse. The event is free to attend and everyone is encouraged to come. There will be raffles and prizes, and each beer sold goes toward the Kenworthy Performing Arts Center. The evening’s takeaway is supporting a good cause by drinking great beer, what more is there to ask?

Palentine’s Day | Thursday

  • Time: 11 a.m. – 8:30 p.m.
  • Date: Thursday
  • Place: ASUI Student Lounge
  • Price: Free

Celebrate Valentine’s day early with a pal at the ASUI student lounge. Vandal Entertainment is hosting a waffle bar this Thursday from 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. TV trivia on Parks and Recreation and The Office, will take place from 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. On top of a waffle bar and trivia, celebrate friendship by taking photos and making Palentine’s cards.

Wine & Canvas and a Whole Lotta Love | Friday

  • Time: 7:30 p.m. – 10 p.m.
  • Date: Friday
  • Place: Wild at Art
  • Price: $35 – $40

Join Wild at Art this Friday to celebrate the love for art. Come solo, with a friend or partner and they will provide the necessities to create a two part masterpiece. Tickets can be bought online for $35 beforehand or the day of for $40. Doors open at 7:30 p.m. but painting begins at 8 p.m.

  • Date: Friday
  • Place: One World Cafe
  • Price: $5

Come to One World Cafe this Friday and dance in Northern Idaho’s only queer dance party. Local DJ’s Abigail and Josie will be spinning lively music that is dance-floor worthy. Heaven is a place on Earth, so don’t miss out on celebrating it.
