Dancing with the Stars draper Joe Vecchiarelli | 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. Monday

Where: UI Niccolls building, room 202

The University of Idaho’s Apparel, Textiles and Clothing Club is hosting Joe Vecchiarelli, who worked on the set of Dancing with the Stars, the X-Factor and Fashion Star as a draper and designer. Attendants can learn from someone with 40 years of experience about working in the TV industry and anything fashion. This event is free and open to the public.


Open casting and crew call for short films | 5:30 – 7:30 p.m. Tuesday

Where: UI Radio-TV Center

This Tuesday is the casting and crew call for the Kino Short Film Festival. All films will be shown at the annual Kino Short Film Festival at the Kenworthy Performing Arts Centre on May 1. The call is open for everyone.


Faculty Recital, James Reid | 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Tuesday

Where: UI Haddock Performance Hall in the Lionel Hampton School of Music

Listen to UI faculty member James Reid this week inside the Lionel Hampton School of Music. Tickets are available at the door and cost $6 for adults and $4 for students and senior citizens.

Get Involved Fair | 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. Wednesday

Where: UI Clearwater and Whitewater Rooms, Idaho Student Union Building

Get Involved Fair is this Wednesday. Over 75 clubs and organizations on campus will be available to talk to during this time. There will be free popcorn, prizes and freebies from clubs.


TV Trivia | 7:30 p.m. – 8:30 p.m. Thursday

Where: UI ASUI Vandal Lounge, Idaho Student Union Building

Vandal Entertainment is hosting a TV trivia night. Teams of one to four will test their knowledge of “The Office” and “Parks and Recreation.”

Professional Development Initiative: Career Services Open House for Grad Students and Postdocs | 11 a.m. – 1 p.m. Friday

Where: UI Career Center, Idaho Student Union Building

Career Services is hosting information sessions on career planning, job readiness, writing, science communication and work-life balance skills. Future events are on Feb. 25 and March 31.

Where: UI Bruce M. Pitman Center

Nepali Students’ Association of UI and Nepali Students from Washington State University are hosting their annual Taste of Nepal event that highlights music, dance and food of Nepali culture.
