As of 4 p.m. Tuesday, the Palouse was put on a winter storm warning. The area can expect to get between 5 to 10 inches of snow between then and 12 p.m. Wednesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Washington State University has already made the decision to close campus Wednesday due to weather conditions.

The University of Idaho’s campus is still open but by 5 a.m. Wednesday a final decision will be made on whether campus will remain open said Todd Perry, director of Emergency Management and Security Systems.

Perry said if UI facilities are capable of clearing the roads, UI will remain open tomorrow.

Perry added that UI’s campus landscape is a bit different than WSU’s rolling hills.

The final decision to close UI’s campus is made by President C. Scott Green.

“If we can open, we will,” Perry said.

The Argonaut will continue to cover this as more information becomes available.
