Enjoy a wide variety of events this week on and off the University of Idaho campus

Add a little spice to your life by enjoying the community that surrounds us. Moscow is a town that always has something going on, especially with its bubbly atmosphere. With plenty of experiences to choose from, here are the best events in Moscow this week.

Appaloosa Museum and Heritage Center Art Show and Sale | Courtesy

Art Show and Sale | Wednesday

  • Time: 12:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
  • Date: Wednesday
  • Place: Appaloosa Museum and Heritage Center
  • Price: Free

Storage in the museum has overflowed, there is simply too much art. The on-going event gives community members the ability to give art lovely new homes in space where they will be enjoyed. All items that are for sale have a firm price and will continue to be stored if not bought. Support, purchase and view beautiful art at the Appaloosa Museum.

Star Wars Trivia Night | Thursday

  • Time: 8:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Date: Thursday
  • Place: ASUI Vandal Student Lounge
  • Price: Free

It doesn’t matter if you’re a die-hard Star Wars fan or someone who’s never seen the movies before; everyone knows a little about Star Wars. Being a well-known movie franchise, it is perfect for trivia because there is a question for everyone to answer. Vandal Entertainment is hosting a Star Wars Trivia Night with prizes for the winners.

Salsa Night | Friday

  • Time: 6:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m.
  • Date: Friday
  • Place: One World Cafe
  • Price: $4

Join One World Cafe in their monthly salsa dance night. All skill levels are welcome and encouraged to attend. Beginner lessons will be taught from 6:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. by Annelise Neilsen and Daniel Reiss. The salsa, bachata and merengue will be taught, as well as the confidence to get out and dance. After lessons the floor will be open for social dancing until 9:00 p.m. Come dance the night away at One World Cafe.

Late Night at the Rec: Roller Rink | Friday

  • Time: 7:00 p.m. – 10:00 p.m.
  • Date: Friday
  • Place: University of Idaho Recreation Center
  • Price: Free with Vandal Card $8 to the public

Vandal Entertainment is excited to host a roller rink at the UI Recreation Center. Skates will be provided or you can bring your own. Other activities like pool, shuffleboard, the basketball court and limited machines will still be available. The event is 18 and over, and a risk waiver needs to be filled out before skating the night away.

Paint a Pal – Pottery Painting Party for Kids | Saturday

  • Time: 9:00 a.m. -11:00 a.m.
  • Date: Saturday
  • Place: Wild at Art
  • Price: $16 – $36

There is an animal pal waiting for a companion at Wild at Art. Providing an array of animals to choose from, there is a pottery pal for everyone. This event is perfect for kids and kids at heart. Animals are first come first served, and the number of animals is limited. Tickets include a ceramic animal to paint, all materials and treats. Single painter/piece tickets cost $20, two painters/piece tickets cost $36 and each additional painter/piece is $16.

Soul Music at One World Cafe | Saturday

Soul Music at One World Cafe | Saturday

  • Time: 7:30 p.m. – 9:30 p.m.
  • Date: Saturday
  • Place: One World Cafe
  • Price: Free

Come and experience true soul music at One World Cafe this Saturday night. The show will transport everyone to the ‘50s and ‘60s, when soul was all over the place. Entry is free, and this event is a perfect way to spend a Saturday night. Drinks and food will also be available for purchase.
