Let’s face it, the further into the semester the colder and gloomier Moscow gets. Music isn’t booming from Greek Row as much, there’s less interaction getting to class — cold months in Moscow put a damper on social life. As the seasons go on it can be harder to decide whether to go out or stay home on the couch with a cup of tea. Here are things happening in Moscow this week that will make you want to get out of the house.

  • Time: 6:30 p.m.
  • Date: Monday
  • Place 1912 Center
  • Price $5 – $10

Inland Oasis is hosting drag bingo this Monday night, something all ages can enjoy. Bring a toy or gift card for the Idaho Foster Kids Toy Drive and get a play all night bundle for $10.

Early bird rounds start at 7:00 p.m. and regular games start after. There is a $5 play requirement to attend, this could be a half pack, a few rounds or a whole night.

Prices are: $10 for a full pack, $5 for a half pack, $1 for one early bird sheet, a dauber, or $0.25 for a rental dauber. Waters and sodas can also be bought for $1.

Wondering about how Moscow recycles? Curious about which bin is which when recycling? Now is the chance to get those questions answered. Recycling is tricky and we all get it wrong sometimes, come down and learn how to recycle properly and become a little greener.

Mental Health Film Series: “The King’s Speech” | Thursday

  • Date: Thursday
  • Place: University of Idaho Library Classroom
  • Price: Free

As part of Vandal Health’s is mental health film series, “The King’s Speech” will be showing this week. Come down to the University of Idaho Library Classroom and watch a film. Entry is free, no tickets are required to attend.

  • Time: 6:00 p.m.
  • Date: Friday
  • Place: One World Cafe
  • Price: $4

Dance the night away at One World Cafe this Friday night. Come down for the monthly Latin dance night, tap your shoes and be prepared for a great night. All ages and experience levels are welcome, and no partner is required to attend. Beginner lessons start at 6:00 p.m. and the dance floor is open for social dancing until 9 p.m.

  • Place: One World Cafe
  • Price: Free

One World Cafe hosts many artists throughout the year. Come hang out and listen to live music this Saturday night. Porch Light will be performing live acoustic music. Grab a drink and relax.

  • Time: 8-9 p.m.
  • Date: Saturday
  • Place: International Ballroom Bruce Pitman Center
  • Price: Free

Vandal Entertainment is hosting a comedy night featuring Francisco Ramos. He will leave everyone rolling on the floor laughing. The event is free to attend and is something that shouldn’t be missed. Who doesn’t love a great laugh on their Saturday night?
