The Vandal Nation staff make their predictions for Idaho football matchup against Eastern Washington Saturday

MEREDITH SPELBRING
EASTERN WASHINGTON 45, IDAHO 21

Eastern Washington has a high scoring offense, averaging nearly 40 points so far this season. While the Idaho defense held its ground last weekend, the Eagle offense will be just too much for the Vandals. It will be a fun one to watch in the Kibbie, but all signs point to the Eagles for this one.

Why not Idaho? Every part in my body is screaming that this is a bad take, but man this would be an incredible Saturday night if the Vandals pull off the upset. Even though belief in this team is running thin, they need itagainst one of the Big Sky’s best.

Idaho will be looking for its second win of the season in the Kibbie Dome Saturday, but with the explosive passing game of the Eagles along with a solid run game. Idaho should be able to put up points thanks to a deep running back group and solid receiving core, but the Vandals won’t be able to match point-for-point.

Such a rivalry can only truly be summarized by
the number of letters in each name. Idaho is no slouch, but Eastern Washington has something truly special. They’ve somehow managed to be East while simultaneously West of us. UI has no directional advantage, and therefore no clout.

Bravo Chris! You were the only one with the guts to trust our team and rightfully chose them to win.
