Learning opportunities on campus this week

Greek Week Blood Drive

 The Interfraternity Council, Multicultural Greek House and Panhellenic Councils are partnering to with the Red Cross to host a two-day blood drive.

The Red Cross will be set up from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. April 10 and 11 in the Teaching and Learning Center.

Those interested in donating can sign up at redcrossblood.org using the sponsor code govandals.

 Grocery Bingo

All students are invited to a free Grocery Bingo Event at 9 p.m. on April 12 in the Student Rec Center.

Each time a participant gets a Bingo, they win a bag of groceries. Other prizes include over 60 bags of groceries, a blender, breakfast sandwich maker, no-stick frying pans, $100 grocery gift card and more.

The event is sponsored by Campus Recreation, Vandal Health Education, Vandal Entertainment, RHA association, KIND Snacks and Tri-State Outfitters.

Zero-Waste Cooking

The Moscow Food Co-op is hosting zero-waste cooking class at 4:30 p.m. April 13 at the 1912 Center.

A registered dietician will show attendees how to make recipes out of ingredients that might otherwise be thrown away. The event is free for students that are Co-op owners and free for non-owners.

Transgender 101

 A Transgender 101 training will take place at 9 a.m. April 15 in the Bruce Pitman Center as part of the Safe Zone training program.

The training will provide the best tips and practices for creating an inclusive campus environment for Transgender and Gender Non-conforming students, staff and faculty.
