Idaho football has proven again what it means to be a student athlete.
Idaho senior linebacker Ed Hall was named to the Google Cloud Academic All-District 7 First Team on Thursday, making Hall the second Vandal football athlete to earn Academic All-District First Team honors in consecutive seasons.

Hall, a major in mechanical engineering, holds a 3.83 grade-point average as well as holding it down on the football field to rank fourth amongst tackles for the Vandals. Hall and fellow teammate Alex Boatman are working on a creation called the Forever Shower that uses filtered and recycled water that helps recreational vehicles. The creation has received many awards around the region.
After being named to the All-District 7 First Team, Hall now advances to the Academic All-America ballot. Hall looks to become the sixth student-athlete in Idaho football history to be named to the Academic All-American team.
