Idaho football legend Jerry Kramer finally received the news that he has been waiting for more than 40 years – Kramer is now in the NFL Hall of Fame.
Kramer had an illustrious career at the University of Idaho and with the Green Bay Packers, playing 11 seasons for the Packers from 1958 to 1968. He helped the Packers to five NFL championships, including back to back Super Bowl wins in Super Bowls I and II. Kramer was also a five-time all pro.
Kramer was a superstar guard and kicker at the University of Idaho and became Idaho’s first ever All-American in 1956. Kramer’s number 64 jersey was retired by the University of Idaho on Jan. 23, 1963 and has been a member of the Vandal Athletics Hall of Fame ever since.
Best known for his block against the Dallas Cowboys in the 1967 NFL Championship, infamously known as the Ice Bowl, Kramer has always been a legend at both the University of Idaho and in the NFL.
And now, Jerry Kramer can finally call himself a member of the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
