Vote no to Trump — Donald Trump has proved he is unfit to lead

The 2016 presidential election did not end in an exciting race to the end on Election Night , it ended on Friday, Oct. 7 when, according to the Washington Post, a video featuring Donald Trump discussing his views of women with “Access Hollywood” host Billy Bush surfaced.

Suffice to say, he is not one who believes in treating women with respect. His “locker room talk,” as he put it, featured enthusiastic discussion on how to properly sexually assault women. His advice? “Grab them by the pussy.”

Once news of this story broke, Trump lost the election.

No, the final ballots still need to be counted, but Trump is done. At that point, nothing could have  saved his campaign for the presidency.

Soon after the video was released, dozens of top-level republican officials cut ties with the nominee, including both Idaho Senator Mike Crapo and Idaho Representative Mike Simpson.

Even House Majority Leader Paul Ryan officially stated he will not defend or campaign for the troubled real estate tycoon.

I urge all those reading this to immediately cease support for the vile and wretched human being who currently represents the Republican Party, and instead vote for someone else. If you are a conservative vote for McMullin, if you are a recovering Bernie supporter, hold your nose and vote for Clinton.

Those who have supported Donald Trump have made a grave and serious error. This is no longer a matter of opinion. It’s becoming an objective fact.

It is imperative that the American public understands how serious this situation is. The United States risks losing its status as an international leader if someone so clearly unfit for the presidency is elected.

How can a man who is not even trusted to handle his own Twitter account be trusted with the thousands of nuclear warheads the United States is ready to use at a moments notice.

His brash and ignorant style will certainly offend other nations, and the U.S. will become an easy target. Even ISIS has begun using his horrendously stupid comments as anti-American propaganda.

Some have said they are voting for Trump because he will make life in the U.S. safer. This is false. He will most likely seriously endanger American lives.

Some have said that Trump will get more done than Clinton — this is simply not factually correct. Trump has been unable to unify his own party, let alone the swing voters that may have co-operated with a less radical leader. Trump has very little respect among politicians in Washington, D.C. and would be incapable of garnering any political momentum.

If he cannot gain the support of the House Majority Leader, who is a member of his own party, how is he going to unify the rest of Washington, D.C.?

Others have said that they believe Trump to be an honest person when compared to Clinton, which is completely absurd. Trump has lied constantly this election. Any quick scan through any fact-checking website will display this.

The most respected of these sites, the Pulitzer Prize winning PolitiFact, has vetted 331 of Trump’s statements. Of those statements, 111 have been ruled false and an additional 57 as flat out lies.

Even more than that, Trump has a long history of infidelity. The leaked tapes have him bragging about engaging in sexual activity with married women while he himself was married. If he cannot be honest to his own wife, the person a man should be closest to, how can he be expected to be honest to the American people?

Instead of basing his views on logic or reason, he gains votes through playing peoples’ fears. The world is not falling apart — the worst thing for this country would be over-reacting by electing a lunatic despot like Trump.

The words he uses are carefully chosen to illicit strong feelings of hate and anger in his supporters. These words are nothing more than grandiose statements made by an insecure bully desperate to win this election to help boost his fragile ego.

Do not fall into his trap. Do not vote for Donald Trump.
