Matt Linehan – Football
With the season opener against Montana State looming over the Idaho football team’s head, scrimmages have become an essential role in preparing to take on the Bobcats. Junior quarterback Matt Linehan was a critical component during the latest scrimmage.
“Matt did some really good things,” Idaho head coach Paul Petrino said in a press release.
Linehan completed three touchdowns during Saturday’s scrimmage. The quarterback is returning to the field after a foot injury sidelined him for spring camp.
Josilyn Daggs – Soccer
Junior defender Josilyn Daggs was one of the leaders on the field Sunday against Grand Canyon University. Daggs scored her first career goal to help the Vandals defeat Grand Canyon 3-1. The defender also posted one shot attempt and one shot on goal. In addition to her performance on the field, Daggs performed the national anthem for the folks watching at Guy Wick’s field.
