It is tick season on the Palouse.
I was changing my T-shirt after a walk on Kamiak Butte and a blood thirsty tick fell off. Even though I was alert to the possibility of ticks and avoided brushing against grass, limbs, etc. he was ready for me and wanted a warm mammal on which to feed.
It”s tick season. Be aware. I saw several people with dogs wandering around on Kamiak Butte, college students. Hope they”re alert and aware.
