The Whitman County Prosecutor’s Office has declined to charge University of Idaho wide receiver Dezmon Epps with fourth-degree assault for allegedly slapping his girlfriend at a Pullman bar.
Epps was indefinitely suspended from the Vandal Football team Oct. 26 in relation to the incident.
Whitman County Deputy Prosecutor Merritt Decker said there was not enough evidence to prove the case beyond a reasonable doubt without cooperation from the alleged victim.
Decker said the alleged victim did not want to cooperate with the investigation any further, and indicated she would not be traveling back to Washington state.
