It is the time of year when people carve their pumpkins and just waste the seeds. Don’t throw away the seeds — with a little preparation, they taste great and make an awesome snack on the go.

Ingredients:

  • 1 1/2 cups pumpkin seeds
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1/2 tablespoon salt
  • 1/2 tablespoon pepper
  • 2 teaspoons of garlic powder

Directions:

  1. Preheat oven to 300 degrees Fahrenheit
  2. After carving your pumpkin separate the pulp from the seeds
  3. Wash seeds with cold water and dry
  4. In a bowl mix together melted butter, salt, pepper and garlic powder
  5. Add seeds to the mixture and coat them evenly
  6. Place seeds evenly on a baking sheet and bake for 45 minutes
  7. Enjoy
