This doesn’t take much time or effort to prepare. All it takes is about 30 minutes from prep to finish, a large skillet and a list of things that some people may already have in their kitchen. This recipe is quick, easy and makes enough food for multiple meals.

Ingredients:

  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1 onion (diced, about one cup)
  • One packed (about 1.25 ounces taco seasoning)
  • Diced green chilies (seven ounces)
  • 16 ounces salsa, any variety
  • 1/2 pound rotini pasta, uncooked
  • Shredded cheese (optional)

Directions:

  1. Brown ground beef and onions in a large skillet over medium-high heat, stirring to break up meat, drain fat after meat and onions brown
  2. Add taco seasoning, chillies, salsa and two cups of water. Stir to combine
  3. Add pasta and stir
  4. Reduce heat to low
  5. Cover and cook 12-15 minutes or until pasta is cooked through. Serve with cheese
