Idaho adds three more commits for 2015

Idaho picked up three more commitments for the 2015 season, two JUCO’s and one local freshman.

Arguably the biggest commit came from Zion Dixon, an offensive guard from Lake City High School in Coeur d’Alene. Dixon is a 3-star prospect and the No. 4 overall prospect in the state of Idaho according to 24/7 sports. The 6-foot-4, 290-pound guard committed on Dec. 8, and is the highest rated recruit to commit to the Vandals in this class. Idaho is his only offer at this point.

Dixon is a huge pick up for Idaho, and along with commits Jordan Barge and Devin Wiltz, will help solidify the Vandal offensive line that struggled last year as they finished ninth in the nation in sacks allowed.

Tui Satuala from Snow College in Utah also verbally committed to play football for Idaho. He is currently rated as a 1-star tight end by 24/7 Sports. Satuala tweeted that head coach Paul Petrino visited him in his home Thursday, Dec. 4, and on then again on the seventh. The only public announcement came after Satuala retweeted Twitter-user @chriscope88’s tweet congratulating the TE on his commitment. Satuala continues the Snow College tight end pipeline, which has sent tight ends to multiple schools in the past couple years, including Arizona, Utah and Middle Tennessee State.

Cornerback Isaiah Taylor from Sacramento City College became the fourth JUCO commit for Idaho, as he tweeted his commitment to Idaho on Dec. 10. Taylor, a 6-foot-1, 180-pound corner, is rated as a 1-star prospect by 24/7. Idaho was Taylor’s only offer. Idaho’s secondary was exposed on big plays many times this past season, and Taylor will look to help stop that.
