Pumpkin is always the best ingredient to cook for Halloween. Though, I’m trying something new this time—the acorn squash. Unlike pumpkin, the squash is smaller and lighter. If you don’t want to carry that heavy pumpkin home, like I do, I got these squash instead. You can always buy two or more in the grocery store and put them at home. So whenever you want to have some sweets, you can make it yourself. The best thing is this squash recipe only takes 10 minutes. What a great, easy recipe! Now, the first thing you need to do is to prepare a really sharp knife because squash is really hard to cut.

Ingredients

  • 1 acorn squash
  • 1/8 cup brown sugar
  • 1/8 cup mini marshmallow
  • 1/4 cup water

Directions

  1. Cut acorn squash into half.
  2. Clear out the seeds with a spoon.
  3. Add sugar and marshmallow inside the squash.
  4. Set squash in a bowl.
  5. Add water in the bowl outside the squash.
  6. Microwave it for 10 minutes.
