Friday Vandal links – First day of March edition

It’s the first day of March, and that means a couple of things, namely…ONE MORE WEEK UNTIL SPRING BREAK!

If you’re still at the University of Idaho, that is.

It also means that this thing called ‘March Madness’ is about to get heated up. You may have heard of it.

Women’s basketball

The Idaho women are on a roll right now, winning their tenth conference game last night over UTSA, a 65-53 victory at Cowan Spectrum. Sitting at 10-6 Idaho will look to wrap up the No. 3 seed to the conference tournament. We took a look at them prior to this weekend’s games.

Men’s basketball

The men lost their fifth consecutive conference game last night, after a putrid second half showing.

Idaho guard signee Perrion Callandret is out of the Washington State tournament after falling to Garfield and Newport
