Sometimes all we need is chocolate, chocolate and … more chocolate. These cookies fulfill any chocolate lover’s dream. Plus, if you’re vegan or dairy-free, this recipe is for you.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 cup milk (soy, dairy, almond or otherwise)
  • 2 tbsp ground flax seeds
  • 1/2 cup canola oil
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tsp vanilla
  • 1 1/2 cup flour
  • 1/2 cup cocoa powder
  • 1/2 tsp baking soda
  • 1/4 tsp baking powder
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 3/4 cup chocolate chips

Directions

  1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees and line two baking sheets with aluminum foil.
  2. In a large bowl, mix milk, flax, oil, sugars and vanilla until smooth.
  3. Stir in remaining ingredients, sans chocolate chips, until a dough forms.
  4. Finally, add the chocolate chips. Roll the dough into 2-inch balls and place on cookie sheet.
  5. Bake for 10 minutes.
  6. Hint: They will look and feel too soft, but the cookies will firm after 10 to 15 minutes of cooling.
