What better way to combat the snow and cold but with a cup of hot chocolate? There are literally thousands of ways to make it. Here are a few takes on the drink for different tastes.

Hot and Spicy

Mix one packet of instant coco with ¾ cup of hot water and ¼ cup of hot milk, then add…

  • A pinch of cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cardamom
  • 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper
  • Top with whipped crème to your desire
    • To add a special flair, you can also add a hot chili pepper on top of the whipped crème.

Mint Chocolate

Mix one packet of instant coco with ¾ cup of hot water and ¼ cup of hot milk, then add…

  • 2 peppermint sticks. Crush one and mix it in until it melts completely, leave the other stick whole.
  • ½ teaspoon of mint extract
  • 1/3 tablespoon of chocolate syrup
  • Top with whipped crème to your desire
  • Sprinkle with chocolate chips

Tea or Coffee Addiction

Mix on packet of instant coco with ¼ cup of hot water and 1/8 cup of hot milk, then add…

  • A cup of coffee or your favorite tea bag
    • If you like mochas or caramel macchiato, you can also add bit of caramel or chocolate syrup
    • Top with whipped crème to your desire
