The polls for ASUI elections are now open until 4 p.m. Thursday due to a communication error between ASUI and ITS about which students are eligible to vote.
Hannah Blankenship, ASUI communication board chair, said some eligible students thought they were ineligible.
“In order to vote, students must be undergraduate and taking a minimum of 12 credits,” Blankenship said. “A lot of international students were having trouble, but it’s not because they’re international.”
Blankenship said the polls are currently down, but ASUI is working with ITS to get them back up within the hour.
“We really encourage students to keep checking back if they haven’t voted already,” she said.
ASUI will announce the election results Thursday at 5 p.m. in the Idaho Commons rotunda.
