On the morning of Dec. 21, 2025, six University of Idaho fraternities were burglarized by four Moscow residents. Each of the men involved have now been individually sentenced.
The perpetrators include UI freshmen Grant Abendroth, Aidan Prakash, Silas “Wogayu” Qualls and one Moscow resident unaffiliated with the university, Traiden Cummings.
Together, they unlawfully entered and stole from six fraternities: Phi Gamma Delta, Beta Theta Pi, Delta Tau Delta, Sigma Chi, Pi Kappa Alpha and Phi Delta Theta.
Because the crime occurred while the university was on winter break, most houses on Greek row were nearly unoccupied. It was reported by the Moscow-Pullman Daily News that the Moscow Police Department got a call notifying them of the crime at 7 a.m. from Phi Delta Theta, where a few fraternity members were still present.
According to MPD Capt. Dustin Blaker, the personal contents stolen throughout the string of burglaries included items like backpacks, jewelry and a cellphone. Meaningful objects to the fraternities, such as paddles and a framed picture worth $3,000, were also listed among the valuables taken.
At the time of the incident, the three UI students involved, Abendroth, Prakash and Qualls, were members of the fraternity Theta Chi.
“These men are no longer members of Theta Chi Fraternity,” said chief communications officer for the national Theta Chi branch Dalton Fischer and UI Theta Chi chapter president Elijah Klaas to The Argonaut.
As the four perpetrators attended their individual plea and sentencing over a month and a half-long period, they each received similar repercussions.
All pleaded guilty to unlawful entry. Abendroth, Prakash and Qualls also pled guilty to petty theft.
According to the Idaho’s iCourt Portal documents, each of the men have received 40 hours of community service and a one year probation period, which went into effect the day after each individual’s sentencing.
