The Palouse Cult Film Revival is bringing “The Muppets Christmas Carol” to the Kenworthy on Monday, Dec. 15. The theater will open doors at 6 p.m. and the film will begin at 7 p.m.

Entry is $5 for kids 13 and under and $8 for adults. Tickets can be purchased online at https://www.kenworthy.org/.

Some of the first attendees of the night will be receiving a free Vandal candy bar. Guests can also take pictures with holiday elf, Joe Vandal. There will also be different giveaways and prizes that guests can win.

In an interview with The Argonaut, founder of PCFR, Eric Billings, gave an insight about what PCFR is. “[The PCFR is] a nonprofit here in Moscow that puts on interactive cult classic movie experiences for the community,” he said.

They also partner with various businesses and nonprofits in the community, then giving back to those nonprofits.

Billings went to college at the University of Idaho and has continued to live in the community since 2004. He is now a fundraiser for a private college in California.

PCFR has been an organization for seven years. Since 2018, the organization has flourished into the operation it is today. It first started as an interactive screening of “The Room” (2003).

“We were like, ‘why not introduce a few other movies and make it fun through that process?’” said Billings. “it evolved into four movies every February… after COVID, it picked up quite a bit and we started adding movies throughout the year,”

The organization has partnered with the Moscow Chamber of Commerce and had events at Moscowberfest, Winterfest and Camp Moscowanna. With Moscow Lebowski Fest coming up, frequent goers can look forward to bowling at Zeppoz in Pullman and watching “The Big Lebowski” (1998).

PCFR is excited to be presenting “The Muppet Christmas Carol” this month. Billings said, “It’s just such a classic Christmas movie and everyone loves the Muppets.”

This event is interactive for families and people of all ages. With prizes, the film and, of course, Joe the Elf, the Christmas spirit is sure to be lively.
