The Lionel Hampton School of Music will present the last of their concerts for the 2025 fall semester. With recitals from graduating seniors, ensemble performances and holiday fun, this month has many different events for students, community members or music lovers to attend.
Student Recital – Presley McFaddan and Jacob Brotman (Thursday, Dec. 4)
At 6 p.m. in the Haddock Performance Hall in the LHSOM building, Presley McFaddan will be performing on the flute and Jacob Brotman will be performing on the saxophone. With solos and a duet, this senior recital will have many exciting musical numbers. This event is free to attend.
Composers Concert (Thursday, Dec. 4)

At 7:30 p.m. in the Haddock Performance Hall, there will be a unique night of music. University of Idaho students will show off their own written compositions in performance with other students. Admission to this event is free.
Jazz Bands & Jazz Choirs (Friday, Dec. 5)
At 6:30 p.m. in the Administration Auditorium, all three UI jazz bands and the UI jazz choir will be performing. Tickets are $10 for students and $12 for general. Tickets can be bought online or at the door with a card.
Student Recital – Bailey Maya (Saturday, Dec. 6)
At 10 a.m. in the Haddock Performance Hall, Bailey Maya will be performing on the saxophone. Joining Maya on stage will be other UI saxophones and pianists for a wonderful performance. This event is free to attend.
Student Recital – Kaley Anderson and Tayla Martell (Saturday, Dec. 6)
At noon in the Haddock Performance Hall, Kaley Anderson will be performing on the clarinet and Tayla Martell will be performing on the oboe. They will be performing solos and special UI guests will be joining on stage. Attendance to this event is free.
Student Recital – Scott Milner (Saturday, Dec. 6)
At 2 p.m. in the Haddock Performance Hall, Scott Milner will sing a wide variety of pieces. This event is free to attend.
Student Recital – Ben Parker and Dylan Vance (Saturday, Dec. 6)
At 4 p.m. in the Haddock Performance Hall, Ben Parker will be performing on the trombone, and Dylan Vance will be performing on the cello. Watch a performance of duets and solos. This event is free to attend.
Holiday Jazz Choirs Concert (Thursday, Dec. 11)
At 7 p.m. in the ICCU Arena on UI campus, the LHSOM will host a night of fun jazzy holiday music. This is an annual event where the UI jazz choirs are joined by hundreds of high school musicians from our local community to bring holiday music to you. This event is free and open to the public.
Brass Chamber Concert (Tuesday, Dec. 16)
At 6 p.m. in the One World Cafe, the LHSOM brings a Brass Chamber Concert performance, with a variety of chamber music from UI brass students. This event is free to attend.
