UI to host 2025 homecoming with “Holla Back” theme

Experience a week of events on campus and in town

Celebrate your alma mater with fellow students, alumni, employees and the Moscow community at the University of Idaho’s 2025 Homecoming! 

From Oct. 5-11, experience a week filled with spirited events. This year’s theme is “Holla Back,” throwing it back to 2000 and showcase your Vandal pride in true late ‘90s and early 2000s style. 

Alumni are encouraged to participate as judges for some of the many Homecoming events, including Homecoming royalty, and can sign up by emailing [email protected] with the subject line “Homecoming Alumni Judge.” Students and organizations can sign up to participate in events by filling out this form

Kick Off Event (Sunday, Oct. 5) 

Celebrate homecoming kick-off on the Theophilus Tower Lawn at 4 p.m. Homecoming royalty nominees will be announced, and you can enjoy games like giant Jenga, cornhole, Connect 4, lawn pong and spikeball.  

Vandalize Moscow (MondayThursday, Oct. 6-9) 

From 3-6 p.m. each day, help decorate downtown Moscow for homecoming. Student organizations work together to help businesses decorate their stores with school colors. At the end, alumni judges, the homecoming president and advisors walk downtown and choose a winning store for best design. Make sure to sign up on the website.  

Vandalize Campus (MondayThursday, Oct. 6-9) 

From 8-5 p.m., everyone on campus from staff to students will decorate for homecoming, all competing to be the most spirited. Check out the Administration Building, Greek houses, residence halls and more student spaces. 

Blood Drive and School Supply Donation (MondayThursday, Oct. 6-9) 

From 9:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. in the TLC, there will be a blood drive. Donate blood and receive a cookie. In the ISUB and the Pitman Center you can find drop boxes to donate school supplies. More locations will be available on the UI website.  

Jingles (Wednesday, Oct. 8 

At the Pitman Center in the International Ballroom, you can participate in Jingles from 7:30-9:30 p.m. Student organizations will perform skits for other students and alumni judges. Judges give out points to skits based on their representation of the homecoming theme.  

Tap the Keg Craft Brew Festival (Friday, Oct. 10) 

From 4:30-7:30 p.m. at the Dan O’Brien Track and Field Complex, you can enjoy a night with selected craft brews, food from SmasHouse Burger and music from DoubleWide Surprise.  

Serpentine and Vandal Rally (Friday, Oct. 10) 

Starting at the UI Gold Course at 8 p.m., the Serpentine will begin with a walk across campus, led by the Vandal Marching Band, to the ICCU Arena for the Vandal Rally. There will be a bonfire and a firework show afterward at 9 p.m. in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome parking lot.  

Homecoming Parade (Saturday, Oct. 11) 

The Homecoming Parade will begin at 10 a.m. on Main Street in downtown Moscow. Students will compete for the best float during the parade, decided by alumni judges. With many other organizations participating in the parade, the Vandal Marching Band will also march through.  

Vandal Village Tailgate (Saturday, Oct. 11) 

The tailgate includes a pre-game celebration for the football game later that afternoon. The tailgate will begin at 11 a.m. with local vendors serving food, a performance from the Vandal Marching Band and Spirit Squad and a visit from the Vandal football team. There will be games and giveaways as well. 

Vandal Football Game (Saturday, Oct. 11 

Ending homecoming week, one of the most spirited football games of the season will start at 2 p.m. in the P1FCU Kibbie Dome. Show up in your Vandal gear and be ready to cheer. At halftime, homecoming royalty will be presented and a halftime show will be performed by the Vandal Marching Band. The Vandaleers will sing the Alma Mater with the band accompanying.
