Star-studded true freshman Kiana Greer, an outside hitter for Vandal volleyball who has made a huge impact on the season, is only at the beginning of her already impressive and entertaining college career.
Greer has proven her worth to the Vandals by already accumulating 180 points and 165 kills, only halfway through this season. Just in the past two games against Montana and Northern Arizona, she had 24 kills, pushing the Vandals to reach their potential. Idaho has had very close games this season and Greer has been a big reason for that.
She performs consistently in every game and is a vital part of the team. With her potential as a freshman, the Vandals can look forward to a lot in the seasons ahead of them.
Greer came to college with a very impressive resume in high school, winning three Pioneer MVP awards with 492 kills. After her great high school career, Greer joined the Vandals and was excited to be a part of the team.

“As soon as I visited Idaho, I was drawn to the open land, slower pace and just being the opposite of what Southern California is,” Greer said in a press release by Vandal Athletics.
“Being a Vandal has been everything I hoped it would be,” Greer said in the press release. “This team is full of amazing women, and we want to give our fans a team they can be proud of and support! I’m excited to begin my journey here and become the player and person that represents Idaho proudly.”
Greer wanted a change of pace and has made the most of it.
“Compared to living in a busy city, Idaho has been a great change of scenery for me,” Greer said in the press release.
Looking forward to the rest of the season, the Vandals will rely on Greer to average nearly four kills and put them in a good position to win games. Greer has played a big role on the court and sets up the team for success, already having a better season than the Vandals last year.
With Greer’s impactful performances and leadership, the Vandals will look to finish the back half of the season strong.
