The first annual Vandal Run will be held Saturday, Sept. 6 before the season’s first home football game against the University of St. Thomas. Students can meet in the practice field west of the P1FCU Kibbie Dome starting at 11:30 a.m. before running into the Dome in front of the crowd. The run will begin just before kickoff at 1 p.m.
“The Vandal Run is about welcoming the incoming class,” said Adam Stoltz, director of UI Enrollment Marketing, in an email to The Argonaut.
“It’s a way to kick off the year, celebrate with Vandal fans and showcase the excitement of another record enrollment,” said Stoltz.
The first 500 students will get a free “Fightin’ Taters” Idaho T-shirt and all participating students will get free snacks. One student sitting in the student section will be awarded a $1,000 scholarship from UI President Scott Green.

Tickets for the football game are free for students and start at $23 for adult general admission and $13 for youth. Tickets can be purchased online at https://govandals.evenue.net/list/FB.
