Following the recent passing of University of Idaho professor Stacy Isenbarger, the Department of Art and Design and the College of Art and Architecture will be holding a memorial event on Sept. 5. The event will be a community art-making event catered around Isenbarger’s love for utilizing velvet in her artworks. Attendees are asked to bring their own rock to wrap in velvet, which will be provided.

The event will kick off with the unveiling of a disco ball in the Sculpture Studio, memorializing Isenberger and her love of dancing. The event will take place on Friday, Sept. 5, from 2-6 p.m., at the Art and Architecture East Building at 327 College Street, Moscow.

UI department chair for Art and Design and longtime colleague of Isenbarger Casey Doyle said, “Stacy was an amazing colleague, educator, mentor and friend to all — truly one of the greatest— irreplaceable!”
