The Moscow Arts Commission, led by the City of Moscow, is considering the installation of a mural on the Polk Street Side of the City Shop facility.
The City Shop is currently being remodeled and is expected to finish construction in 2026. The Shop construction “consists of the construction of two new buildings as well as some much-needed repairs to the existing City Shop,” according to the City of Moscow website.
MAC has been involved in numerous public art installations over the years, like the curation of the Third Street Gallery exhibition space in City Hall.
Public input is encouraged regarding the installation’s theme, which will assist the Arts Commission in developing a public art project proposal for consideration by the City Council. Input will be accepted via a brief online survey until Aug. 1 at 5 p.m.
