Gritman Medical Center is hosting a free Teddy Bear Clinic event on Saturday, June 21, 10 a.m. to noon.
The event will feature activities to help children learn about the importance of a healthy lifestyle. Activity stations, representing different hospital departments, can be found throughout the hospital.
Medical professionals, first responders and Joe Vandal will be present. Kids can have Idaho WWAMI Medical Education Program students suture their stuffed animals’ boo boos, according to Gritman community engagement manager Stephanie Weber. They will also be able to weigh and measure their stuffed animals and tour police cars, a fire engine and an ambulance.
Refreshments will be available while supplies last. All children must be accompanied by an adult.

Check-in for the event will be available at both the Emergency Department entrance and the Main Admitting entrance on the south side of the building. Registration is not required.
Guests are asked to park in Gritman’s south-side visitor lot or street parking. Main and Eighth streets around the hospital will be closed to vehicle traffic during the event.
