On Saturday, June 14, from 1-3 p.m., Indivisible Moscow will hold a “No Kings” protest in Ghormley Park. Nearly 15 “NO KINGS” events are scheduled around Idaho, joining over 1,600 nationally and internationally.

Attendees are encouraged to bring flags, signs, costumes and instruments. Sign-making supplies will be available at the park one hour before the rally begins.

No Kings is “a nationwide day of defiance … to reject authoritarianism—and show the world what democracy really looks like,” according to the No Kings website.

“We’ve watched as this administration has cracked down on free speech, detained people for their political views, threatened to deport American citizens, and defied the courts,” Indivisible Moscow co-founder Marilyn Beckett said in a press release.

Indivisible Moscow will join the “national day of action to protest Trump’s authoritarian excesses and corruption,” Beckett said.

On the Washington side, Indivisible Palouse will host a similar event in Pullman at 11 a.m.-2 p.m.

In addition to the rally, there will be a bicycle relay between the Moscow and Pullman events along the Chipman Trail. The relay will meet halfway to exchange copies of Articles of Impeachment against Trump. Copies will also be posted around both towns to encourage people to sign a petition in support.

June 14, also known as Flag Day, marks the day that the U.S. flag was adopted by the Second Continental Congress. June 14, 2025, also coincides with the 250th anniversary of the U.S. Army and President Trump’s 79th birthday. In Washington, D.C., the U.S. Army 250th Anniversary Parade is scheduled on June 14. The parade has received bipartisan criticism due to its high projected cost and timing.

Indivisible Moscow is the Moscow chapter of a national organization, Indivisible.org, which welcomes all, regardless of political affiliation. To learn more, reach out to [email protected], or attend the monthly meeting on June 23 from 5:30-7 p.m. at the Latah County Fairgrounds Middle Room.
