The Idaho Press Club, a statewide association of media professionals, presented The Argonaut with the first place General Excellence award for all student newspaper publications in the state.
Individual Argonaut winners included Savannah Cardon (editor-in-chief), Hailey Stewart (managing, editorial editor), Meredith Spelbring (sports editor), Joleen Evans (photographer), Jonah Baker (columnist) and Danny Bugingo (columnist) in an array of categories.
The annual awards ceremony celebrates young and veteran journalists across Idaho.
The Argonaut will continue to encourage young media professionals and strive for journalistic excellence.
