Guy in a Monkey Suit spent five hours this week subscribing to various podcasts. He’s calling it “research.” You know, listening to how it’s done so he can make one of his own. Who knows? Maybe before the end of the semester we’ll see Guy in a Monkey Suit’s MonkeyCast.
Until then, here’s a selection of podcasts he has been listening to.

The Short List: Every Wednesday, the Seattle Weekly’s music folks discuss shows to see and shows to avoid.

Calls for Cthulu: A green, multi-tentacled puppet channels H.P. Lovecraft’s Elder God and takes calls on topics ranging from how souls taste to Cthulu’s various film appearances.

Barnes & Noble Meet the Writers Series: Highlights include chats with David Sedaris and Chuck Palahniuk.

Real Time with Bill Maher: the podcast version of Maher’s HBO show tackles all the same issues as “Politically Incorrect” used to except he doesn’t talk to as many people.

The best thing about these podcasts: they are free.
